RECRUITMENT OF TEMPORARY CONSTABLES (EXECUTIVE) - MALE /FEMALE IN DELHI POLICE : 130 POSTS

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals to fill up 130 posts of Constables (Executive) - Male & Female in Delhi Police under the following categories :

NOTE : 

• The number of vacancies is indicative and may undergo change anytime before declaration of result.
• 10% vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen in each category as per rules.
• No relaxation other than those provided in Delhi Police Standing Order No. 212/2016 will be given in any qualifications or standards except in the cases and manner laid down in the Delhi Police (Appointment & Recruitment) Rules, 1980.

Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200 - 20200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- and other allowances as admissible.(Level-3 as per 7th CPC).

Place of Recruitment : Guwahati. (Exact venue of PE&MT shall be mentioned in the Admit Cards that will be sent to the candidates in due course).

Who can apply : The Recruitment is open only for INDIAN NATIONALS who are NATIVES of Assam. (Only PRC i.e. Permanent Resident Certificate of Assam, issued by the concerned authority of Govt. of Assam, shall be accepted as proof of being a “Native” of Assam). No other certificate shall be accepted as sufficient proof.

1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : 10 + 2 (Senior Secondary) pass from a recognized Board (at the time of filling application form).

2. AGE ( As on 01.07.2018) in years :  

• UR (Male) - 18 to 25 yrs.
• OBC (Male) - 18-28 yrs.
• SC/ST (Male) - 18-30 yrs. 
• 05 yrs. relaxation for sports person- National/International

NOTE : Relaxation in upper age limit shall be available to sportsmen/sportswomen of distinction only if they have represented a state at the national level and/or the country at the international level during the preceding 03 years (from the date of advertisement of vacancies) in any of the following sports : Athletics, Swimming, Shooting, Boxing, Cycling, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Judo, Weight-lifting, Karate, Equestrian, Archery, Table Tennis, Tennis, Kho-Kho, Triathlon, Badminton, Volleyball, Basket-ball, Football, Kabaddi, Hockey and Cricket. Applicants may note that in order to claim any relaxation in the eligibility criteria on the basis of Sports Certificates, the certificates must be in the format prescribed in the Standing Order No. 212/2016 issued by Delhi Police HQ vide No. 3095-3245/HAR-PHQ dated 28.06.16. 3. PHYSICAL ENDURANCE TEST (QUALIFYING)

MALE :

     RACE : 1600 mtrs in 6 minutes

     LONG JUMP : 14 feet

     HIGH JUMP : 3’9” feet

FEMALE :

     RACE :1600 mtrs in 8 minutes

     LONG JUMP : 10 feet

     HIGH JUMP : 3 feet

4. STANDARD OF PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT - MALE

     HEIGHT :165 cms. - For all candidates

     CHEST : Min. 76 cms. un-expanded & 80 cms. when expanded - For all candidates

5. STANDARD OF PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT - FEMALE

     HEIGHT : 155 cms - For all candidates

6. REQUIREMENT OF DRIVING LICENSE :

This being a Special Recruitment Drive for North Eastern states, Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Delhi has accorded a one time relaxation to the applicants of North Eastern States who intend to apply for the post of “Constable” in Delhi Police. In other words, it is not mandatory to have a driving license for LMV (Motor-cycle/Car) in order to be eligible to apply. However, this relaxation is subject to the condition that a valid driving license shall have to be obtained within one year of the appointment.

7. MEDICAL STANDARD :

The candidates should be of sound state of health, free from defect, deformity or disease. Both eyes should have a vision 6/12 (without glasses) and shall be free from color blindness. Detailed requirements are mentioned in the Standing Order No. 212/2016 of Delhi Police.

8. WRITTEN TEST :

Written Test will be of 90 minutes duration and will comprise of 100 objective type questions on Reasoning, General Knowledge/Current Affairs and Numerical Ability. The question paper will be Bi-lingual (English and Hindi).

9. CHECKING OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES FOR ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

All candidates are required to bring original as well as photo-copies of their documents/certificates at the time of PE & MT, pertaining to age, education, SC/ST/OBC, PRC of Assam, and Sports achievements etc. for seeking any relaxation in the eligibility criteria. Applicants may note that in order to claim any relaxation in the eligibility criteria on the basis of SC/ST/OBC Certificates, the certificates must be in the format prescribed by the competent authority. The candidates already in Govt. service will also submit NOC at the time of PE&MT. 

10. MODE OF FILLING UP OF APPLICATION FORM :

i) The application form should be filled up in “ENGLISH” only with a BLUE BALL POINT PEN. 

ii) The applicant should affix a recent (taken on or after 01.06.18) colored passport size (4cm x 5cm) photograph, with name of the applicant and date of photograph at the bottom, at the appropriate place in the Application Form. The photo should be pasted, not pinned or stapled. The photo should not be taken wearing a cap or goggles or any other headgear etc. 

iii) Applicants will have to deposit a fee of Rs. 300/- (in cash or by Demand Draft - non refundable) along with the filled up application form. The demand draft shall be in favour of DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi (Payable at Delhi) which should be valid for 06 months. However, no fee is to be deposited by SC/ST and Women candidates as well as by Ex-servicemen applicants provided they produce a copy of discharge book or NOC. However, in order to get this exemption, Male SC/ST candidates will have to attach self attested photocopy of their SC/ST certificate along with the application form. 

iv) Applicants must enclose a self addressed (in English only) envelope (8 inch by 5 inch) along with the filled up application form. 

v) The applicant must enclose 05 latest and identical photographs along with the filled up application form. The photograph should have been taken on or after 01.06.18. 

vi) All applicants must enclose self attested photocopies of their Permanent Resident Certificate, age proof certificate, educational proof certificate, caste/tribe certificates and sports certificate etc. along with the filled up application form.

11. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

i) Filled up application forms which are not accompanied with PRC of Assam (Permanent Resident Certificate of Assam) and 05 latest and identical photographs, will not be accepted.

ii) Candidates must fill up all the columns/boxes in the application form. Incomplete application forms will be rejected.

iii) All candidates seeking any relaxation in the eligibility criteria will have to submit self attested photocopies of the relevant certificates/documents along with the filled up application form.

iv) No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in PE&MT/Written Test/Medical Examination.

v) Being called for medical examination or being subject to police verification will in no way give any legal claim or right to any candidate for being finally appointed.

OTHER IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS : 

1. Since the last date for receiving application forms has been extended to 15.12.18, now, instead of commencing on 21.11.18, the Physical Endurance & Measurement Tests (PE&MT) shall tentatively commence in the 1st or 2nd week of January 2019. In view of the changed PE&MT schedule, the admit cards which have already been issued and dispatched to the eligible applicants, shall no longer be valid. However, fresh admit cards for appearing at the PE&MT shall be issued to all the eligible candidates as soon as the exact date of PE&MT is finalized.
2. Filled up Application forms shall be continued to be received at the Delhi Police Information Centre located at 10th APBn., Kahilipara, PS-Dispur, District-Kamrup (M), Guwahati w.e.f. 15.11.18.
